The story of Dirilis Ertugrul is based on the history of the Muslim Oghuz Turks which take place in the 13 century. The story revolves around the life of Ertugrul, the father of Osman 1. Osman 1 the founder of the Ottoman Empire.
Ertugrul was the son of Suliman shah leader of tribe Kayi tribe was famous for its brave soldiers, who fought many wars but never disappointed his people and leader. The Ottoman Empire is the longest time period empire of Muslims. That is why it has great importance in the Muslim history. The Ottoman Empire has around 800 years long time period.
The Mongols took over the Seljuk State in the Battle of Kose Dag. They implemented a new tax collection system. In season 5 Umur Bey’s daughter, llbilge Hatun, infiltrates the kayi tribe to gain information on Ertugrul. Latter, she fall in love with him. Umur was killed by Commander Dragos who want to conquer Sogut. Ertugrul brothers run from Albasti and hide in the mountains.
Erturul proposes llbilge and she accepts it. He raids the Mongols and steals their gold too with which he is going to start a huge war.
Sirma Hatun is now the head of the Kayi tribe. Suleyman is in jail for speaking against beylik. Latter he escapes with the help of Llbige.
At the end of the season, Ertugrul is leading riding horses into the war while his son Osman picks up his grandfather Suleyman Shah’s sword and says he will carry the resurrection and the Keyi flag all over the world.
